Kemek returned to the 2024 annual Plant and Civil Engineer, Construction, Quarry and Recycling Awards at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in South Belfast. Organised Plant & Civil Engineer, and attended by over 500 guests from across the industry, the awards ceremony was compered once again by television and radio sports presenter Adrian Logan. The evening’s entertainment was supplied by local Belfast comedian Paddy Raff, who put on a great show with a lot of giggles and laughs.
With 17 separate categories, the event is widely regarded as Ireland’s premier platform of recognition for those operating across all sectors of the industry. Kemek were finalists in 2 of the categories, Specialist Contractor of the Year and the Health and Safety Award. On the night, Kemek were awarded The Specialist Contractor of the Year, which was presented by Ross Milne of Alan Milne Tractors / Takeuchi.
A special thank you goes out to everyone within Kemek who made this award possible with hard work, commitment to excellence and the drive and innovation to keep pushing the business forward. Well done to all the team throughout the Island of Ireland. This would not have been achieved without everyone’s effort!!!!!
Kemek also sponsored and presented the prestigious Quarry Manager of the Year. With 3 nominees, this year’s award was won by Kilwaughter Chemical Company’s Edward Nethery, being recognised for his managerial skills, dedication to safety, operational excellence, environmental responsibility, and mentorship. Edward manages the company’s limestone quarry in Kilwaughter, near Larne. This was also a special moment for Kemek, as we have been suppliers of both products and services to Kilwaughter for over 25 years.
Congratulations to Edward in rounding of a great night out.
