Kemek recently attended the annual Plant & Civil Engineer Construction, Quarry & Recycling Awards 2023 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in South Belfast. Organised by the Hillsborough based publishers of Plant & Civil Engineer, 4SM (NI) Ltd, attended by over 550 guests, the glittering awards ceremony was compered by television and radio sports presenter Adrian Logan. With 17 separate categories, the event is widely regarded as Ireland’s premier platform of recognition for those operating across all sectors of the industry.
On the evening, Kemek sponsored and presented the prestigious Quarry Manager of the Year award. With 3 nominees, this award was won by Cemcor’s Brian McDonald, being recognised for his managerial skills. Brian manages the company’s limestone quarry in Cookstown and its shale quarry in Dungannon.
The evening was rounded off with a surprise celebration at Kemek’s table of guests. Stephen Robinson (owner of Robinson Quarry Masters, Ballymena), a long-standing customer of Kemek and guest for the evening, winning the Special Recognition Award for services to the Quarry Industry.
