Kemek recently hosted its annual Safety Day at the Moyvalley Hotel & Golf Resort, bringing together employees from across the business for a day dedicated to safety, communication, and employee wellbeing. The event provided an excellent opportunity for colleagues from different departments and locations to come together, reflect on our achievements, and reinforce our shared commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive workplace culture.
The day commenced with a business update from the management team, highlighting the company’s progress over the past year, key developments across the business, and plans for the future. Employees were updated on ongoing projects, strategic priorities, and the important role every team member plays in supporting Kemek’s continued growth and success. The session encouraged open dialogue and reinforced the value of collaboration, engagement, and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
A key focus of the day was employee wellbeing. Sinéad Griffin delivered an insightful wellness session titled “Pillars of Sleep”, exploring the vital role that quality sleep plays in both physical and mental health. The session provided practical advice on developing healthy sleep habits, managing fatigue, and improving overall wellbeing. Employees also received an update on the activities and achievements of the Kemek Safety Ambassadors, whose ongoing efforts continue to promote a strong safety culture across the business through engagement, awareness, and leadership.
The event concluded with an engaging communication workshop led by Doug Gordon, who highlighted the importance of effective communication. Through practical examples and interactive discussions, employees gained valuable insights into listening, understanding, and communicating more effectively. Kemek Safety Day 2026 once again demonstrated the company’s commitment to placing safety and employee wellbeing at the heart of everything we do, reinforcing the belief that a safe workplace is built through shared responsibility, open communication, and genuine care for one another.
