The Irish Mining and Quarrying Society, established in 1958, serves as a central hub for professionals in Ireland’s extractive industries. The Society is dedicated to promoting and safeguarding the natural resources and extractive industries, with a strong emphasis on health and safety, environmental compatibility, and education. With a diverse membership, it provides a valuable forum and network for professionals to collaborate and share knowledge.
The IMQS Council, consisting of 12 elected members, plays a vital role in the Society’s operations. We are confident that the Council will provide Ruairi with all the support and expertise needed to advance the industry further, addressing the challenges of the modern world. Together, they will continue to foster a collaborative environment that benefits all members of the extractive industries.
