Kemek celebrates 50 Years in Northern Ireland

Kemek Northern Ireland, formerly known as Ulster Industrial Explosives, proudly celebrated its 50 years in business at the iconic Belfast Titanic Hotel in November 2023. This significant milestone not only marked the longevity of the company but also highlighted its evolution and commitment to excellence in the commercial explosives and blasting industry.

The recent rebranding from Ulster Industrial Explosives Ltd to Kemek Ltd which took place in September 2023 signifies our simple promise: to continue to bring global standards and technical expertise to your operations using the very latest in blasting technology and to ensure your operation’s potential is unlocked, extracted, and delivered, safely and securely.

An Evening of Connection

The celebration brought together a diverse group of attendees, including former employees and directors and of course, the current dedicated team.

The evening took an unexpected turn when a faux police officer, who turned out to be an opera singer in disguise, interrupted the event. He was highly entertaining and strolled through the room, serenading along the way.

Meanwhile, sports journalist Adrian Logan and former rugby star Stephen Ferris shared an insightful chat, covering the highs and lows of Stephen’s rugby career, creating a memorable blend of music, sport, and genuine connection.

A look to the Future

As Kemek embarks on its next phase, the 50th anniversary celebration stands as a reminder of the company’s resilience, adaptability, and the collaborative spirit of our most important asset, our people.

A sincere and heartfelt thank you to all the people who have supported us every step of the way. Here’s to many more years of fruitful collaboration.
